Zoom to ski destinations
Posted on: November 29th, 2007 by Charlotte FellowsMore flights to Canadian ski destinations are now available from Britain with low cost airline, Zoom Airlines. This winter the budget carrier will offer flights from Belfast to Vancouver. In addition, the airline is also adding a weekly flight from London Gatwick to Canada’s Western city.
With the extra flight from Gatwick, Zoom will now offer three flights per week between the two cities. The plentiful snow in Vancouver and on the surrounding slopes is likely to be popular with British skiers and snowboarders.
In addition to the flights to Vancouver, Zoom is also doubling their flights from Gatwick to Montreal. In addition, once a week the airline will be flying from Glasgow to Vancouver and from Manchester to Calgary.
The cost of return flights from Britain to east coast destinations like Montreal start at £249, including tax. Return flights to western cities like Vancouver and Calgary start at £349, including tax.
The new flights were introduced due to the popularity of Canada’s ski destinations with British travelers last year. According to the Ski Club of Great Britain approximately 1.3 million Britons will be take winter ski vacations.
