Waldorf-Astoria goes to Israel

The Palace Jerusalem will be the first hotel in Israel to operate under the Waldorf-Astoria label. A joint venture between IPC Jerusalem and Hilton Hotels will see the Palace Jerusalem open for business by the end of 2010, equipped with 220 rooms and 30 residences. Hilton Hotels Europe president Wolfgang M. Neumann says,

“Israel is enjoying continued rapid and robust commercial activity which is fuelling a strong demand for high quality hotel brands. We are very pleased to be working with IPC Jerusalem Ltd to introduce what will be a magnificent hotel and a superb addition to The Waldorf-Astoria Collection.

With two existing properties located in key Israeli destinations, the introduction of this prestigious brand reaffirms our commitment to integrating our successful Hilton Family of Brands into key markets throughout Europe. “

Hilton Hotels has two properties in Israel as of now, the Hilton Eliat Queen of Sheba and the Hilton Tel Aviv.
