The website visiteurope.com was launched in March of last year in Vienna, during a conference for European tourism ministers, focusing on the markets of Canada, the United States and the countries of Latin America.

The site has been a great success, and now Japan will be the next country the company will focus on. In a country where 70 percent of the population is regularly online, the company sees the land of the rising sun as the next logical step. Executive director Robert Franklin says, “When coming to Europe, three out of four Japanese travellers visit more than one country. This is why many of them are discovering that visiteurope.com is the ideal place for them to gather really useful ideas and information on each of them.”

“Europe is very popular with Japanese tourists, which is why we had more than 260 journalists, National Tourist Office representatives, suppliers and members of the travel industry attend the launch event in Tokyo. We will do our utmost to ensure that every Japanese visitor to visiteurope.com is offered the best service possible to help them select their next vacation destination.”
