Virgin Holidays recently bought out Fast Track Holidays in a bit to expand their travel operations and launch themselves as a cruise operator. The acquisition means that Britons looking for a good deal on a package vacation now have one more good value choice before them with the added bonus that Virgin Holidays is a known and reliable operator.

The sale price for Fast Track Holidays has not been released.

Amanda Wills, Managing director at Virgin Holidays, said, “We have seen impressive and consistent growth in our cruise programme, and have been assessing companies in the sector that would be suitable for integration into our business”.

Although Fast Track operates within the standards of Virgin Holidays, according to Wills, Virgin will be adding some special touches to the company and is hoping to offer more cruise options to travelers in the near future. With the acquisition of Fast Track, Virgin is expecting to have a 10 per cent share of the cruise market within the next two years, in fact.

Virgin Holidays already offers packages for cruises from ports in the UK and in Europe, however now it will be able to expand these offerings.
