Virgin Holidays has just released a second holiday brochure for the season, dedicated to departures from Manchester.

A rise in overall holiday sales from Manchester of 26 per cent has given the tour operator the impetus to expand on its 2006-07 programme.

Destinations featured include the Caribbean, Las Vegas, New York and Orlando are featured, with flights departing from the Manchester Airport on Virgin Atlantic as well as other scheduled airlines, such bmi and Continental. For the summer months, Virgin Atlantic has added extra flights on the weekend from Manchester to Orlando. Bmi operates service to Orlando three times weekly.

Beginning in November, Virgin Atlantic will also be offering service from Manchester to St Lucia.

Two weeks’ free parking at Manchester airport is offered to Virgin Holidays customers, for a limited period.

The managing director of the tour operator, Amanda Wills, said: “The first Manchester brochure was launched over a year ago and proved very popular with our customers in the North.

“The brochure highlights some of our most popular destinations where we offer direct flights from Manchester, and for the first time we have added Las Vegas and New York to the brochure.”
