Virgin Atlantic recently announced that it has plans to begin a new business class airline soon.

With the new ‘Open-Skies’ agreement in place between Europe and the US, Virgin plans to offer business class flights between London and the United States, as well as between the USA and other European cities such as Paris, Milan and Amsterdam.

A spokesperson for Virgin Atlantic said, “In the next 12 to 18 months we will start a business-only airline. We’ll serve New York initially and then other US cities.”

Business class airline Silverjet currently serves the New York to London route but recently announced a postponement of it’s second daily New York service. The airline won’t have aircrafts available for the added service until some aircraft maintenance and checks are finished.

Virgin Atlantic current provides regular flights to 51 destinations in the United States, Canada, Australia, Asia and Africa. The airline recently won awards for Best Business Class Airline and for Best Airline for Groups.

Isn’t the whole point of business class that you get to feel smug about sitting in front of the cattle packed into economy behind you? do you still get that feeling travelling on a whole jet full of suits like yourself?

No no, the whole point of business class is that you don’t have to sit with the riff raff who are all squashed into economy. Thus, Steve, a business class jet is just perfect!
