A new hotel and entertainment construction project is getting ready to get under way in the Southern Vietnam beach resort of Ba Ria in Vung Tau Province. The complex comes in at a price of $4.2 billion, making it the most ambitious construction project in Vietnam’s history. The complex is designed by Steelman Partners, a preeminent architectural firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The first phase of the project will involve a 5-star hotel featuring 1,100 rooms, and golf enthusiasts are expected to flock to the Greg Norman-designed golf course as much as the American-style casino. Phase 1 is expected to open in 2010.

Chief executive and founder of Steelman Partners Paul Steelman says, “The proximity to one of the finest unspoiled beaches in the world gives us the opportunity to create something special. The Ho Tram Strip will combine entertainment, adventure and leisure vacations into one exceptional vacation experience.”
