TV ads extol the virtues of easyCruise
Posted on: December 20th, 2007 by Charlotte FellowsThe cruise wing of the easyJet, easyEverything, easyEtc brand has broken new ground in its usual advertising strategies. It has made television commercials. The company has up until now relied on internet and print ads to fish customers into their pond, but the 2008 easyCruise schedule seemed to be too exiting not to belt it out over the airwaves.
The usual routes like ‘Aegean Escape’ and ‘Classical Greece’ will still sail their usual paths through the Greek Islands, with a new addtion of a ten-day ‘Ionian Sea’ sweetening the deal.
The six-week advertising campaign will air on most channels in the UK such as UKTV, Channel 4 and E4. easyCruise’s Stelios Haji-Ioannou explains the jump into heretofore uncharted advertising waters:
“The new TV campaign is designed to combat the misconceptions that some consumers have about the brand. What we wanted to make absolutely clear is that easyCruise is unique among cruise lines. As well as offering independent travellers great itineraries to some of the best locations in Greece, we give them more time in each place including every night to enjoy a great destination.”
