Trends changing as honeymooners get more fastidious
Posted on: July 3rd, 2007 by Dave BessRecently statistics were released detailing how would-be bridegrooms were splashing out for more unique bachelor weekends to set themselves apart and really leave the single life behind with a bang.
Now, another luxury travel agency has released some stats having to do with a honeymoon contingent as well. One wonders how many of these people transformed into a stats chart are the same ones that before the wedding were wakeboarding, windsurfing or dancing the night away in Rio.
Cookie Anspach Kohn works for Valerie Wilson Travel at the Highland III branch. She says, ”Honeymooners today want to make sure theirs isn’t a cookie-cutter week at the beach.” And fair enough; if you’ve got the cash to spring for a tailor-made honeymoon from Cookie and co.
The average trip like one booked by Kohn averages $3,600 per six days, and can reach up to $10,000 for the more far-out plans you may want to undertake. All this is excluding airfare. So unless you’re swimming in it, you may not be able to swim among the sharks or endangered coral quite yet.
