They paved a mushroom farm and put up a parking lot

Monaghan’s Mushroom Farm may not be exactly paradise, but recently plans to turn the farm into a parking lot for the nearby airport in Bristol have local people expressing concern.
If things go according to plan, developers would turn the Langford farm into a Park and Fly capable of handling 1,200 cars.
At a recent meeting with the community, Park and Fly’s managing director, Steve Merry sought to reassure local residents by informing them of restrictions that would limit traffic into their neighborhood. That was only one of their many concerns, however. Local people at the meeting were also worried about crime and noise pollution.
Merry listened to the concerns and said, “Once the emotion of villagers dies down it will be seen as having a positive impact upon the local community. The site will be as secure as the airport’s parking facilities. Traffic and ecological assessments will be carried out as part of the planning process.”
