The “itty bitty city” sale
Posted on: September 12th, 2007 by Paul FenrichBudget airline bmibaby has put numerous destinations in Europe on sale as a part of its “itty bitty city” sale. One way flights from the UK head to a number of destinations for less than £20 including taxes and surcharges.
The sale is applicable to tickets travelling between October 1st and December 14th. The following routes are currently on sale starting at £18.99 one way:
Birmingham to:
Aberdeen,Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey
Cardiff to:
Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey
East Midlands to:
Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow
Manchester to:
Belfast, Cork
A limited number of seats have been put on sale and although the low-cost carrier has not stipulated an end date to the sale, the tickets are selling fast. A minimum fee of £4.99 per booking is added for payments made with a credit card.
Tickets can be booked through the airline’s website where travellers can also make hotel reservations and arrangements to hire cars in the destination of their choice.

So that is 19 quid one way and then I am wondering how much will they hold you to ransom if you want a return ticket?
Then they will add CC charges and tax and fuel surcharges, I say forget em and go in style with easyjet.

Sadly with the Thai disaster, (one two go air, NOT Thai air) many of these no frills airlines will take a battering, safety wise. More stringent safety checks will be forced and I reckon many planes over a certain age will not be permitted to fly any where other than domestic, and that will mean within one country only.
