Singapore increases A380s to London
Posted on: May 26th, 2008 by Charlotte FellowsWith its Singapore-London route already well underway utilizing the double decker Airbus A380 superjumbo, the airline has announced that it will add more planes to fly the route from The UK to South Asia. Adding to its current schedule, four more flights per week will be flown, one on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This will increase weekly flights on the route from 7 to 11.
Executive vice president of marketing and regions for Singapore Airlnes Huang Cheng Eng says, “Our A380 products have been very well received by our customers, and loads on the Singapore-London route have been exceptionally encouraging. The deployment of another A380 on this route will cater to continual strong demand from customers traveling between Singapore and London.”
The four new flights will begin flying from the 16th of July this year, but there will be an interruption in the Singapore-London service as the planes will be used for the increased passenger numbers entering China for the Olympic Games .
