Shangri-La hotels unveils new website
Posted on: July 10th, 2007 by Andrew MayerWherever you go in the world, if there is a Shangri-La hotel there, you know what’s to be expected from one; 5-star everything. The Hong Kong based hotel chain has become a symbol for high end travel and with the launch of its new website, the image will no doubt remain intact.
The new site redesign cost $2 million and was carried out by MetaDesign, a web design company in San Francisco, California, USA. The website uses the same asian motifs and high quality filming techniques it has used previously in its advertisements that were seen on television and before movie trailers at the cinema.
The group now operates 50 hotels under the Shangri-La name, as well as the four star Traders brand. Tall together it brings the room tally to over 24,000.
There are still 40 projects under construction in locations as diverse as the United States, the United Kingdom, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Canada, China, India, Japan and France.
The new website will be sure to lure would-be customers into Shangri-La’s paradisiacal urban havens.
