Radisson to expand in India
Posted on: April 14th, 2008 by Jennifer JonesCarlson Hotels is responsible for the well known Radisson brand of hotels seen around the world, and the latest site for a new project is Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh state in India. Radisson has already begun to build in various spots around the subcontinent, and the new 142-room Radisson Hotel Ghaziabad will open its doors to the public in 2009.
The facility will be a high tech affair, with wifi internet throughout, and various audio-visual and conferencing equipment available to the business traveller. Other amenities will include a full spa, health club with swimming pool. Carlson Hotels’ managing director for Asia Pacific Martin Rinck says, “Ghaziabad is a growing commercial centre and has recently witnessed rapid urbanisation, with the addition of new shopping malls, multiplexes and golf courses. It was also voted by Newsweek International as one of the world’s most dynamic cities. The Radisson Hotel Ghaziabad will be a significant addition to the city’s hospitality stock and we anticipate it will draw guests from throughout the country.”
