Qatar still rules the skies

The Skytrax World Airline Awards have once again honoured Qatar airways with a number of awards for its world-class service. For the second year in a row, Qatar was named the best airline in the Middle East, and for the fifth year running the airline’s cabin crew was named the best in the Middle East.

The third accolade to be bestowed on Qatar is its first class being named the best in the world. The Doha-based airline also saw its general standing rise to the top five airlines in the world. These figures are gathered from 15 million international air passengers and covers 90 nationalities from all over the world.

Qatar’s chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker was understandably pleased and replied to the news with this: “We have come a long way since we launched our airline just 10 years ago and these awards clearly demonstrate that Qatar Airways is firmly in the top league of international airlines.

I would like to thank the staff at Qatar Airways around the world for their tremendous dedication and commitment to the job they do so well. Our cabin crew have once again proved that they have what it takes to deliver the best levels of service in the skies.”

Now the question is raising enough cash to afford a first class flight on the prestigious airline.
