Princess Cruises Announces 107-Night Voyage
Posted on: June 18th, 2010 by Dave SmithThis week, Princess Cruises announced that they plan to offer cruisers the chance to journey around the world. The 107-night voyage will be operated by the line’s Pacific Princess, which will depart on January 13, 2012 from F. Lauderdale.
With nearly a full circumnavigation of the world, the sailing will stop at 3 ports overnight, including Dubai, Sydney and Hong Kong. They will also call at ports in Puerto Quepos, Santa Marta, Manama, Koper and Tokyo. The itinerary also includes passages through the Panama Canal, as well as across the Pacific, where they will call in Tonga, Pago Pago and Hawaii. The guests will also get to see Vietnam, Egypt, Croatia, India, New Zealand, China and Thailand.
Aside from this around-the-world cruise, Princess Cruises also announced plans for another global voyage, which will depart Sydney on May 25 next year to end 104 days later and be operated by the Dawn Princess. This sailing will call at 43 ports across 6 continents.
The cruise line also said that both of the around-the-world cruises can be booked in segments. The cost for one of the full voyages starts at £21,995 per person, while segment fares range from 15-32 days and start at $2,495 per person – figures are based on double occupancy. The sailings are already on sale.
This will be a great offering for the tourism industries of all the countries the voyages will call at. Travelers have opted to stay home for holidays due to the recession, and these sailings will help take travelers abroad again, which will help other countries’ economies.
