Priceline.com has announced it will be launching a host of mobile services to compliment its online presence as a preeminent hotel booking group. Now travellers with mobile phones or other web-enabled mobile devices will have access to priceline’s services from their handheld devices, such as real-time booking of hotel rooms and local attraction and restaurant reviews courtesy of Zagat Survey. If you’re using a mobile device, when you type the address www.priceline.com, you will be automatically directed to a special mobile version of the site, or if you’d lie to see how the mobile site works from your computer, you can see what it’s like by visiting www.priceline.mobi Chief executive officer of priceline.com Brett Keller says, “We believe these enhancements make priceline.com one of the leading wireless services providers in the online travel space. Many priceline.com customers are last-minute travelers who need the ability to check live hotel inventories, book their rooms in real-time and check their flight status while on the road. In addition, Zagat Survey’s restaurant and attractions reviews provide unique, valuable content that can’t be found on any other major online travel service.”
