Air Berlin and one of Europe’s major car hire agencies, Europcar, have teamed up much to the benefit of Air Berlin topbonus frequent flyer program. The agreement between the two companies that takes effect from this month will allow members of Air Berlin’s topbonus club to earn 500 reward miles when they rent a Europcar vehicle after their flight.

During the initial launch period which lasts until April 30th, special incentives will be offered to topbonus members, such as earning more points on selected rentals, and the chance to win free rentals through various draws. Europcar’s global sales and marketing director Guirec Grand-Clement says, “This agreement truly strengthens Europcar’s partnership portfolio. Europcar is the perfect match for Air Berlin, especially since in 2007 we acquired Betacar in the Balearic Islands, which are one of Air Berlin’s leading destinations. As the European car rental leader, we are proud to join forces with one of Europe’s leading airlines to bring added value and services to frequent travellers across Europe.”
