Paris Marriott rewires to become a fully integrated hotel
Posted on: July 3rd, 2007 by Dave BessAfter major refurbishments, the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche has reopened with a host of technological improvements in its rooms by Quadriga. Now the Paris Marriott joins the hotels in London and Rome to offer a full range of technological amenities in the rooms. The new conference centre has assured its place as the largest hotel/conference centre in the French capital.
Quadriga has suited each room with a system that allows the guest to choose from a wide variety of films and to access the internet form the television. There is also a music-on-demand service. The hub of the system is a 26 -inch LCD flatscreen from Phillips. The suites will offer a 32-inch screen.
Part of the new inter-hotel system will allow each guest to access hotel services and their own Marriot rewards program from their room. Quadriga will continue to provide Marriott properties with its high-tech systems well in to the future, with plans to kit out over 18,00 rooms in 80 other Marriott properties in the space of the next 3 years.
“We are delighted to be working very closely with the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche to support the refurbishment and subsequent launch of this large, prestigious, landmark hotel and conference facility in the heart of Paris, and look forward to further continuing our partnership into the future supporting them with new initiatives,” said Quadriga’s Sales and Marketing Director Myron Tataryn.

Sounds like the hotels are just trying to get money. I hate that hotel tv screen thing. It makes actually watching television into some kind of technological nightmare.
