With the Memorial Day Weekend holiday in the United States approaching, Orbitz has revealed what the busiest areas in the country will be, as well as which airports are the most likely to experience the biggest crowds. The top three city destinations according to Orbitz’s information are Miami, Orlando and Las Vegas, and for the third year in a row, the busiest airport will be O’Hare International in Chicago. O’Hare is followed by Los Angeles International and Denver International. All these airports are regional hubs and flight transfers will make up a big part of the traffic.

Orbitz Air Traffic Analyst Bill Partridge says,
“As major airports, like Chicago O’Hare, are inundated with travelers this Memorial Day weekend, vacationers are advised to allow extra time at the airport and to check in online. Also, a tool like Orbitz’s Traveler Update with real-time information from other travelers is a great resource for staying up to date on traffic, flight delays and security line wait times.”
