New Thrifty branch in Bixby

Thrifty Car Sales, a company which is part of the Dollar Thrifty Automotives Group, Inc, recently opened a new location in Bixby Oklahoma. The new location joins an extensive network of franchised pre-owned car dealerships which stretches out across the country.

The owners of the new franchise branch are Leonard McCullough and Mike Willis. The two men gathered together an investment group in order to purchased the Thrifty Car Sales license. The men and their investment group plan to expand their operations to five Thrifty Car Sales outlets across the Tulsa metropolitan area.

The store in Bixby is located n 14780 Memorial however the location of the four additional stores which will open, if all goes according to plan, over the next three to five years, has not yet been decided.

The Bixby store is planning to open with four employees although there are plans to expand to 12 – 15 workers by the end of the year. The current space includes six service bays and a large show room which will initially be filled with between 50 and 100 cars.

“The Thrifty business model provides the credibility, vendor network and buying power we needed to ramp up quickly as a major player in the pre-owned market,” said McCullough. “Our vision is a network of five dealerships throughout the suburban Tulsa market where customers can have access to a wide range of inventory through our virtual showroom, benefit from our ability to provide all types of financing, and receive the kind of buying experience that all customers deserve.”

Willis said, “Overall, our goal is simple — we want to treat people the way we would want to be treated. We hope that people will feel completely comfortable sending their wife or daughter or mother into one of our dealerships to shop for a vehicle.”
