Easyjet recently added its 79th airport to its repertoire, announcing new routes from Birmingham International Airport to French and Swiss skiing destinations.

The new flights are scheduled to take off this winter. The budget airline will start its first daily flight from Birmingham to Geneva on December 14th. One way tickets including taxes are expected to start at £22.99 and return tickets at £37.98.

Flights from Birmingham to Grenoble will operate twice a week beginning on December 22nd. One way tickets including tax are being advertised at £24.99 with return tickets costing £48.01.

Within a year of beginning these flights, easyJet hopes to attract some 45,000 customers from the Birmingham area.

“EasyJet’s expansion from Birmingham International Airport is great news for skiers from the Midlands, giving them more choice and a brand new service to Grenoble,” said Osborne. “They now have the opportunity to fly to the major ski gateways for the French and Swiss Alps.”

In addition, the airline will be introducing flights to from Bournemouth to Grenoble beginning December 13th.
