New hotel for Manchester Airport
Posted on: May 17th, 2007 by Katy DaviesManchester Airport just signed a deal for a new airport hotel. Premier Travel Inn will build a seven story hotel with 168 beds near the airport to accommodate the increasing number of passengers flying in and out of Manchester.
Manchester Airport Development’s strategy and development director, John Atkins champions the new hotel project. “The Travelodge, which opened last year, has proved to be very successful and together with the Tulip Inn, which is due to be completed by the autumn, Manchester Airport Developments will have completed nearly 600 new hotel bedrooms on the site within three years,” he remarked

Manchester airport is the busiest airport in the UK outside London. The airport recently announced that all of the areas before security would make the change to a completely smoke-free environment beginning May 14. There are designated smoking areas after security.
