Customers buying air tickets from American Airlines on their website, www.aa.com will now have the option of making payment by electronic cheque. If your bank account is funded in US dollars, you can transfer directly from a chequing or savings account when purchasing air tickets.

The process involves typing in the account number and the routing number that appears on a paper cheque. American Airlines managing director Derek DeCross says, “We continue to enhance our AA.com site to make it an unequaled resource for travel planning and trip purchases. By adding the ability to pay for tickets with electronic checks, we’re offering customers more choice and greater control over the purchase process. Electronic checks are another example of our focus on making it even easier to do business with American Airlines.”

This is just another of the many payment options made available by AA. Last year the ‘Fly now, Pay later’ campaign was fond to be a success, giving passengers six months of deferred payment on their flights.
