A passenger on a Russian Aeroflot flight form Moscow, Russia to Toronto, Canada died en route Wednesday night, after he became unconscious and could not be revived by fellow passengers or crewmembers. Aeroflot Russian Airlines released a statement that stated one crewmember and two passengers were doctors and tried to aid the man, but he was pronounced dead when the plane landed at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

An autopsy is being performed to confirm or deny if alcohol was involved in the man’s death, and officials treated the death as suspicious and warranting an investigation, beginning with the autopsy.

One spokeswoman from the airport authority said they would release the information as it became available. J.P Valade, spokesman for Toronto Poilce said that a possible altercation onboard was being investigated, as the man in question could have been part of the fracas. He said that he was not at liberty to divulge any more information until the investigation is complete.
