London one step closer for Brazilians
Posted on: October 8th, 2007 by Dave BessVRG Airlines has announced a new route to begin on October 28th between the Brazilian cities of Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo and the English capital of London.
“The launch of London flights on October 28 is an important step in VRG’s expanding international route network, which currently includes flights to key European cities in France, Italy and Germany. By December of this year, we will provide additional services to Europe through Madrid, Spain as well as to Latin America, through flights to Mexico City, Mexico; Montevideo, Uruguay; and Santiago, Chile,” says VRG’s commercial director, Lincoln Amano.
The incentive for the new route is the growing cooperation between Brazil and England, both business and tourism-wise. British imports from Brazil increased 9% past year, making the United Kingdom the 13th largest importer of Brazilian products.
On the tourism side, the Tourism Board of Brazil, Embratur ranks England as 9th overall when it comes to incoming tourist numbers.
