Kentucky Fried Chicken or KFC, the famous fast food giant, is all set to open shop in Burnley. With McDonalds already present in the vicinity, competition for customers is going to be fierce.

A price war looks set to commence, as both McDonalds and KFC will want to attract customers—especially late-night customers.

Both the fast food giants will have to pitch in competitive prices and offers to attract more and more clientele. With fast food people’s fast food preferences usually set, the war will likely be tougher than ever.

The latest battleground will be Trafalgar square, where McDonald’s fast food is said to already have a chain of fast food joints in place. KFC is set to open as soon as next week, upping the game.

There being very few residential houses in the area, the opening of another fast food store has created little resistance either from locals or from councilors. In fact, this move has found favour with the councilor of Burnley as well a transport survey recently conducted. The opening of a new KFC will mean the creation of some much required jobs in Burnley.

KFC has reported the number of jobs to be created as as highas thirty. A whole new building will be constructed to house the fried chicken giant. The plans for the latest branch have onlyrecently been approved by the Development Control Committee headed by the Burnley Council.

However, the city as a whole already boasts a KFC outlet . The demand for KFC is high, however, and the decision to open another outlet appears well-received. Also approved is parking space for customers and the permission to operate from 10 am to midnight.
