Kempinski Hotels makes strategic promotion
Posted on: March 12th, 2008 by Dave BessKempinski is a hotel brand on the rise, and to make sure the trend continues its upwards motion, the company has promoted one of its own, its director of Global sales Samer El Achcar to a new post at the Outbound Sales office.
The Outbound Sales office will operate from the United Arab Emirates, working to create brand awareness in various global markets as well as throughout the Middle East region.
President of kempinski Middle East and Africa Ulrich Eckhardt says, “As Kempinski’s presence in the region continues to expand, we recognised the need to create a dedicated sales arm, committed to the integration of our Middle East and international sales efforts. With his outstanding results in consolidating the group’s regional business, Samer was the ideal candidate to lead this new division, which will also seek to increase outbound traffic to our superb collection of hotels throughout the world.”
Speaking about his new post, Samer said, “These are dynamic times for Kempinski, as the hospitality industry both regionally and internationally becomes increasingly sophisticated, it is essential for us to keep abreast of the latest trends and sales opportunities. As a market with massive potential for regional and outbound sales, the Middle East deserves a focused effort, and I greatly look forward to leading this initiative”.

Never yet stayed at a Kempinski hotel but I’ll be flying into Abu Dabi for two nights in June, should I book now to save disappointment?
