The Indian airline, Jet Airways, has added another flight from the Indian subcontinent to the Thai capital of Bangkok. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport is one of South Asia’s busiest travel hubs, and this new flight between Mumbai, India and Bangkok is Jet Airways’ third route connecting the two countries after initiating routes from New Delhi and Kolkata earlier this year.

The new route confirms speculations of an increased demand for travel between the two countries, and the new route is good news for travellers on both sides of the Andaman Sea, since more competition means potentially lower fares on India-Thailand air routes. Jet Airways flight 9W 62 will leave Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport every morning at 01:10 and arrive at Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok at 06:50 local time. The plane will then return to Mumbai at 08:40, arriving back on India’s west coast at 11:45 local time. Economy and Premier classes will be offered aboard the Boeing 737-800 plane.
