It proved an excellent evening for Malaysia, with Resort World Genting winning the World’s Leading Casino Resort title, having beaten contenders from Las Vegas and Macau to the crown.

Over a thousand companies from across the globe were nominated on different categories—almost a hundred of these. Around 1,000 high-profile travel bosses and other decision-makers from across the industry were at hand, to cheer the winners on.

The lavish awards ceremony was interspersed with entertainment performances, with George Sampson (Britain’s Got Talent), Tamara Beckwith and comedian Bobby Davro all performing.
