Located near Taebaek Mountains, the hotel is 2.5-hour drive from the capital city. The 238-room resort offers a retreat that combines modern amenities with traditional European alpine design. While at the resort, guests will experience relaxation and adventure amidst spectacular alpine surroundings, without needing to leave the hotel.
Here, travellers can enjoy the spectacular countryside view, and a number of first-class leisure facilities – including a 27-hole golf course by Robert Trent Jones Jr, an Olympic-sized ski park and the Ocean 700 water park. Other resort amenities include spa, modern conference centre, outdoor concert hall and the Planet Trekkers’ kid club.
The hotel’s extensive concierge services also provide guests with personalised recommendations on relaxation activities. Moreover, the resort’s Club InterContinental Lounge is offered for guests who wish for greater exclusivity.
An extensive range of beverage and food selection catering to different price points and tastes is available as well at the resort. The hotel’s Italian mixed Korean-inspired restaurant, Flavours, has a lounge with an open-air fire pit, outdoor barbeque during summer, and open show kitchen that allows interaction between diners and chefs.
General Manager of the resort, Adam Riley, is pleased to open in Alpensia. He said that the hotel combines exceptional scenery and fantastic facilities to offer guests a truly authentic experience. He further added that the resort is a perfect destination for tourists who are searching for luxurious alpine resort experience with a variety of year-round activities.
