The wait is finally over, the first commercial flight to use the superjubo jet, the Airbus A380 has taken place, with Singapore Airlines having the honour of flying the historic voyage with the largest passenger plane ever built from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.

The advertising claims of the aircraft being very quiet due to its single piece fuselage were true, as the aircraft stealthily cut the skies. The world’s airports had to make sure their facilities could handle the arrival of the giant plane, and authorities in both Singapore and Sydney had weeks of preparation to assure things went off without a hitch.

Despite the huge amount of people boarding the plane, getting passengers on and off the plane was achieved in a timely fashion, as was the return of luggage after touchdown in Sydney. With such attention being paid to the first flight’s details, the real opinions will be formed when the A380 is just another flight amongst many.
