Hostelworld integrates PayPal

Hostelworld is one of the more successful backpacker accommodation websites, with not only hostel bookings available, but guesthouses and hotels as well. Up to now, customers have made payments by credit card, but a recent announcement by Hostelworld confirms that the site has fully integrated the PayPal online payment system.
Hostelworld’s chief marketing officer Niamh Ni Mihr says, “We are delighted to give Hostelworld customers the added convenience and security of PayPal when they book on Hostelworld.com. According to a recent hostel user survey we conducted in conjunction with Zoomerang we found that security of payments is paramount to customers with 24% voting it ‘most important’ when choosing a hostel booking website. With PayPal becoming an increasingly popular method of payment for our customers it was logical for us to cater to their needs.”
PayPal as become the online standard in the west for online money transfers, and many websites and businesses have already been using PayPal for quite some time.
