Honeymooners choose their top destinations

A recent poll conducted among engaged couples and newlyweds by the Honeymooner’s Review Guide details the most popular places for honeymooners to go and enjoy their first nights together.

The majority of couples dream of a holiday in the sun, with the top three destinations all being tropical islands. The islands of Fiji came in a number one, just ahead of Hawaii and French Polynesia.

The vice president of the Honeymooner’s review guide, Michelle McKenzie says, “This poll does not necessarily indicate where they ended up going for their honeymoon, but where they would prefer to go. Often budgetary issues limit the final destination of honeymoon couples. Actually, the Hawaiian Islands are the number one final destination of those who complete our post-honeymoon survey.”

So if you have spent your honeymoon in any of the following places, you are the envy of quite a few honeymooners, and the list looks like this: Fiji – 19%, Hawaii – 18%, French Polynesia – 15%, Europe – 15%, Thailand – 11%, Jamaica – 9%, Bali – 8%, Anguilla – 5%.
