Hilton set to hit the UK Hamptons

The Hilton brand of hotel known as the Hampton Inn in the United States, is set to expand to the UK under the title of Hampton by Hilton. The franchise deal will begin with the opening of the first hotel in Corby North in the fourth quarter of 2008.

The company plans to offer the same features that have made the brand such a success in the US, like complementary internet access and hot breakfasts. The hotel is part of a regeneration scheme in the town of Corby and the 86-room building will go up in the Rockingham Leisure Park.

Project funder Ramesh Dewan says,There are great plans for Hampton by Hilton in the UK and Ireland, and to be associated with the arrival of the first hotel and to be working with Hilton is very exciting. We share Hilton’s belief in the ‘Hampton by Hilton’ concept and, as a consequence, plan to launch 20 ‘Hampton by Hilton’ hotels in the next four to five years.

Corby North was chosen as the first site as it’s a vibrant and growing community – with great demand for hotel product. In fact, the population of Corby is anticipated to double in the next 25 years.”
