As the Australian circuit racing MINI Challenge approaches its third season, the series is thrilled to announce its two major partners: gourmet pizza company Pizza Capers and car rental giant Hertz.

The MINI Challenge is set to again stage the most exciting motorsport series in Australia and will include seven of the most famous motor sport events in the country – Ipswich 300, Australian Formula One Grand Prix, Townsville 400, Gold Coast SuperCarnivale, Phillip Island 500, Sydney 300 and this week’s Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. The sport event will be broadcasted in Fox Sports, 7 Network and TV3 in New Zealand.

Justin Hocevar, National Manager of MINI Challenge, was pleased with the series’ new addition. He is extremely excited having Hertz onboard as MINI Challenge’s main sponsor.

Last year’s winner Paul Stokell and rival Chris Alajajian will again compete in the series. The pair, together with other racers from 2009, will be joined by fresh faces this season, including ex-V8 Supercar contender Dean Canto.

This year, the MINI Challenge will again host the popular UBER Star driver programme, which places a famous celebrity in MINI’s hot seat. Already confirmed for this year’s season is TV personality and AFL star Sam Newman for the Australian Grand Prix and international stunt rider Robbie Maddison for the Clipsal 500.

Along with Pizza Capers and Hertz, both Castrol and Dunlop will also be supporting the event. Meanwhile, Florida Constructions and Super Charge Batteries will be joining the team to set the venue of the racing.
