Executive Travel magazine readers have rated the first class service offered by Delta Air Lines, its Crown Room Clubs around the world, and its frequent flyer program, SkyMiles, as the best for 2008 and given the three programs top honors in this year’s Leading Edge Awards. The magazine’s readers also rated Delta as their first choice of any U.S.-based airline for travel to Canada, the Middle East, and Africa.

“Delta’s more than 45,000 employees worldwide are committed to offering our global customers a world-class travel experience when they fly with us,” the CEO of Delta, Richard Anderson, said.

Anderson added that the efforts of the employees, in addition to the additional investments the carrier has made toward product and service improvements, are clearly making a positive impact on customers. He commented that the airline is thrilled to have been chosen by readers of Executive Travel for these top honors.

Delta also received awards – this time third place - for the ‘Best Domestic Airline for Business Class Service’ and also the ‘Best Credit Card Rewards Program’ for its joint offer with American Express, the Delta SkyMiles credit card.

In other categories, readers of Executive Travel magazine named the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta’s global operations hub, as the number two U.S. domestic airport. The number two spot for the Best Private Jet Service was awarded to Delta AirElite.
