Employees at Accor Hotels in the UK and Ireland gain access to e-learning
Posted on: August 16th, 2008 by Andrew MayerIt was announced that Accor Hotels in the UK and Ireland have partnered with ThirdForce who will provide the chain with e-learning outlets related to food and health safety, and the disability and discrimination act. The e-learning solution is expected to reach all 4,500 employees of the chain at the more than 120 locations around the UK and Ireland.
The Accor hotel chain is one of the biggest in the world. They have more than 4,000 hotels throughout the world and employ more than 140,000 people. No mention was made of expanding the new e-learning program to hotels outside of the UK and Ireland.
The HR director for Accor Hotels, Philip Addison, said that “We are proud to be working with ThirdForce as it has provided a high quality training solution that puts our employees at the heart of learning. To cater for the needs of our entire workforce we are implementing the three courses not only in English, but Portuguese and also Polish. Our aim, together with ThirdForce, is to have the best organisation with well motivated, trained, informed and organised people.”
The Account Director for the Hotel && Leisure section of ThirdForce, Marco Faccini, said “To work with Accor Hotels, a company which has a fantastic learning ethos has been a personal goal of mine for six years and truly compliments our portfolio of hotel clients.
