The Airbus A380 Super jumbo jet can now count premium gulf airline Emirates as its client. After a long wait, Emirates finally acquired the Airbus Superjumbo and followed it up with an order for sixty more such aircraft from the European manufacturer.

Media representatives were offered a glimpse of Emirate’s super deluxe double-decker aircraft by the respective CEOs of both Emirates and Airbus. The aircraft is hailed for its eco-friendly features and the CEO of Emirates Sheikh Maktoum applauded Airbus makers for creating a supremely efficient aircraft with distinctive ecological features. Thanks to its reduced fuel consumption and low sound operation, the A380 is acknowledged as a shining example for others to follow in respecting environmental parameters.

Emirates CEO Sheikh Maktoum placed a formal order worth a staggering 12 billion dollars with Airbus manufacturers for acquiring 60 more aircraft; thirty numbers of A330-300s and 30 numbers of A350s. Both company leaders took a final reckoning of the A380 aircraft. It consists of close to 400 seats in the deck below that will house economy class. The deck above has a 76 push back business class seating equipped with massage facilities. 14 ‘suites’ are also on board that have an office, small size bar and a couple of bathrooms equipped with showers.

Emirates will flag off this grand aircraft from Dubai on the 1st of August with non-stop flying services to New York. Emirates, with the acquisition of the Airbus Superjumbo will now have the distinction of flying the largest passenger jet aircraft in the world. Emirates will also be launching similar flying services to the cities of London, Sydney and Auckland in the near future.
