Emirates Airlines will soon join the aviation elite as it begins its services using the superjumbo double-decker plane from Airbus, the A380. The Dubai-based airline will atke delivery of its first A380 in July, which will be used on some of its most profitable routes, such as Dubai to New York, and London Heathrow to Sydney and Auckland.

The airline will add to its two daily flight from the UAE to New York by adding a non-stop service to Los Angeles on September 1st with San Francisco to follow on October 26th. Chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airlines HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said, “The A380, with its large capacity and excellent operating economics, will be one of the pillars of Emirates’ future growth. We’ve been working very closely with Airbus since the A380 programme’s inception back in 2000, and all through the ups and downs from the drawing board to production, we have remained unshakable in our belief that this is the aircraft for the next chapter of aviation.”
