El Salvador newest link for AA
Posted on: January 16th, 2008 by Neill ZerkApril 7th will be the first day for a new flight route by American Airlines between Dallas/Fort Worth and the capital city of El Salvador, San Salvador. Tickets will go on sale for this new route on January 20th, and the connection between the two cities will be made four times a week with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with its 16 first class and 132 economy seats.
American Airlines senior vice president for Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America Peter Dolara says, “We have served San Salvador for more than 17 years now. This new service from Dallas/Fort Worth will nicely complement our existing service to San Salvador from Miami and Los Angeles. It opens up a host of convenient new connections from our largest hub in Dallas/Fort Worth.”
The frequency augmentation is pleasing to the mayor of Dallas as well, as mayor Tom Leppert states, “This is a testament to the power of having a strong international airline hub that helps drive our economy and is a magnet for new international air service. This terrific addition to DFW’s portfolio will continue to expand the international reach of our region.”
