eBookers is an online service owned by Orbitz Worldwide for travellers-to-be to book their accommodation, car rentals and so on. The company has relaunched its website to streamline service and increase ease of navigation and to improve functionality.
One obvious improvement is that it has tripled the number of hotels available to search from in its database. This is accompanied by more area information around the hotels including maps and photos.
President and CEO of Orbitz Worldwide Steve Bernhart enthuses, “This is an important moment in the evolution of the ebookers brand, as we work to make it the leading travel choice for our customers in Europe,” said Steve Barnhart, President and CEO of Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. “This new, innovative ebookers website will provide customers with more air and hotel choices and a better, faster online experience.”
The company has improved its platform to incorporate a worldwide network, and its UK site will be the first to feature this new and more integrated platform. The technology will allow the company to better manage its several brands appearing on the site and users will be able to switch between languages and currency values.
Bernhart went on to say, “This new technology will help us enhance the global travel experience and grow in international markets to the benefit of ebookers’ customers. 41% of Europeans are currently researching and buying travel online. We believe these leisure travellers are focused on efficient, value-orientated websites, which offer a wide range of choice.”
