easyJet offers new routes
Posted on: August 22nd, 2007 by Jennifer JonesBudget airline, easyJet has announced the introduction of two new routes from the East Midlands airport and from London Luton. The low-cost carrier will begin flying from London Luton to Hamburg, German on November 5th and from the East Midlands to Palma, Mallorca on February 7th.
Flights to Hamburg will operate once daily while flights to Palma will take off three times a week.
One way flights to Hamburg are already been advertised at a rate of £20.99. One way fares for Palma will start at £22.99.
During the summer season, the airline anticipates increasing flights to Palma, offering one flight a day during the busy time.
EasyJet has been adding a number of routes to its schedule this winter. A total of 46 new routes have been added this year. The number indicates a growth rate of 14 per cent for the airline this year.
The airline recently released a statement saying: “easyJet’s growth this winter reflects the airline’s continued commitment to connect its bases across Europe with currently served destinations as well as expansion into new markets including Bucharest, Bari, Gdansk, Madeira, Innsbruck, Vienna, Sofia and Zurich.”
