Club Med properties are witnessing a rise of almost twenty percent in their bookings around the world by UK travelers as compared to the previous year. UK has reportedly established one of the highest rates of bookings in the limited Club Med properties around the world.

Club Med is hoping to launch a series of long haul luxury developments next year and will focus on UK’s brand loyalty to promote them.

Henri Giscard d’Estaing, the chairman and chief executive of Club Med, strongly believe that Brits show strong loyalty to the brands they perceive as excellent. Club Med is interested in breaking into the long-haul market and UK customers will be encouraged to check out these new developments.

A resort Punta Cana opened in the Dominican Republic has received a positive response ever since British Airways opened up a direct flight to the Dominican Republic in October. Club Med has used this positively to their advantage to promote these destinations to the UK traveler.

Giscard is of a strong belief that it is essential for people to know precisely how much they are spending on a trip. They do not like to be burdened by paying lots of extra charges. This was a very important factor that travelers considered especially when the current economic scenario was highly unpredictable. He believes that this was the reason behind the increase of UK travelers.

Club Med has reportedly spent over one billion euro refurbishing and renovating its properties all over the world. This is also a move to attract more British tourists as they preferred finer things in life.
