FG Destinations, a Freeman Group subsidiary has been hired by the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board on the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos, with the goal of enhancing the overall experience visitors take back with them after a holiday on the islands.
Founder of the Freeman Group, Bill Freeman says, “Turks and Caicos is one of the Caribbean’s premier destinations. FG Destinations is honored to be involved with the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board. Our continuing education project for the tourism sector will further increase their position in the marketplace, ensuring that Turks and Caicos remains a top choice for tourists visiting the Caribbean. “
The program’s first phase began in early 2007, then known as the Turks and Caicos National Service Training Program, which had the aim of training staff in the travel and tourism industry how to better treat guests to assure they had a pleasant experience. One technique used was that of the phantom shopper, that would evaluate service in the retail sector.
The second phase will focus more on the training and how to implement any changes that were deemed necessary in the scouting period. The overall desired effect is to normalize service standards across the islands and to raise the bar in the quality of service.
