Campbell could be charged for T5 assault
Posted on: May 23rd, 2008 by Andrew MayerReports indicate that supermodel Naomi Campbell is likely to have to face charges for her behavior at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 last month.
The supermodel with the legendary temper was asked to leave her British Airways flight because one item of her luggage could not be located and had not been loaded onto the plane with her.
The airline claims Campbell assaulted a police officer who was called to the Terminal to help deal with the incident. She reportedly spat on a police officer.
Campbell was, in fact, arrested that day at Heathrow but at the time, it seemed likely she would only receive a caution from the police.
An inside source now claims: “She will be keeping the courts busy for some time.”
An official police spokesman have failed to voice his prediction of the case but said: “She was asked to return to the police station next week. She could be charged, cautioned or told there will be no further action.”
The 37-year-old model pleaded guilty to a charge of assault in a Toronto court in 2000. She was charged in 2007 for misdemeanour assault after she threw a cellular phone at her maid.
