Bulgaria to get boost from CNN ads
Posted on: March 12th, 2008 by Dave BessFor those who regularly tune in to CNN, you may be familiar with the Sights & Sounds adverts that regularly feature during their commercial breaks. Usually featuring Adriatic and/or Balkan countries, the campaigns now will have another regional addition with Bulgaria opting for a stab at the Sights & Sounds platform. The television slots will be accompanied by the Sights & Sounds online campaign, to reach as broad an audience as possible. The quality of the presentation is questionable, as any viewer will remark, perhaps the reason the countries featured are those without premium advertising budgets, looking for the easy explanation that being affiliated with CNN will really get things going. With no qualms about taste and class, senior vice president for CNN international ad sales Rani R. Raad says, , “The Sights & Sounds solution provides clients with a powerful, cross-platform tool to reach the international audience. At CNN, we’ve worked hard to translate our knowledge of the tourism advertising space into tailored, effective media campaigns for our clients and we are delighted that Bulgaria Tourism has chosen to continue advertising with us.” One is left to wonder which country will be the next to sign up for CN’s Sights & Sounds, Albania or Bosnia?

Friendly place is Bulgaria when we drove through a couple of years back, wouldn’t consider a holiday there yet.
