British Airways connects Heathrow to Las Vegas
Posted on: October 26th, 2009 by Neill ZerkBritish Airways began it daily non-stop service to Las Vegas from London Heathrow today, and has launched a four-day introductory sale for tickets on its Club World, World Traveller Plus (economy plus) and World Traveller (economy) cabins.
The sale is open through to midnight, Thursday October 9, and offers round-trip fares to London starting at $276. World Traveller round-trip fares begin at $936, and Club World starts at $3136. The special fares are also available for round-trip connections from Las Vegas to Paris, Rome, Madrid, Milan and Athens. World Traveller fares for all these European destinations start at $358.
The introductory special fares are valid for travel between November 2 and December 20, 2009, as well as December 24 to March 28, 2010. Taxes and surcharges are extra.
For Las Vegas passengers flying into the UK and Europe, BA Holidays is offering “city breaks” to Paris, Rome and London, which combine roundtrip fares and three nights’ accommodation. Prices for the city breaks begin at $769 per person.
Las Vegas is the airline’s 19th city connection in the US to offer daily flights to and from the UK. The Boeing 777 deployed on the London-Las Vegas route is deployed with 214 World Travellers (economy) seats, 36 Club World seats, and 24 World Traveller Plus seats.
Flights depart from McCarran International Airport at 20:20 hrs, and arrive at London Heathrow at 14:05 the following day. The return leg takes off from London at 15:30 and reaches Las Vegas at 14:20 local time that same day.
