Extra seats on fights will be provided by British Airways, on the airline’s network to the Caribbean. British Airways made the announcement earlier this week, and has promised more passengers to the Caribbean than any other airline, when it increases flight count in the summer of next year.

The airline has also announced extra flights from London Gatwick Airport to destinations like Grenada, Bermuda, Barbados and St Kitts. The new flights will be introduced in 2010, and will make around 2,000 more seats available to the region.

An impressive frequency of 55 BA flights will eave from London Gatwick and London Heathrow for locations in the Caribbean, starting next year.

British Airways Gatwick general manager, Alan Peever has said the launching of the new fights from Gatwick will mark a significant milestone for the airline at the London airport. He expects the new routes to be well-received by travellers.

Gatwick will also be throwing in some goodies into the basket. The airport will be offering customers on select flights free stats at Punta Cuna’s luxurious Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa, valid for select departures in January 2010.
British Airways has also recently introduced a daily, non-stop connection to Las Vegas from Heathrow.

The Las Vegas route will also allow travellers from the US to make convenient connections to other European cities like Rome, Paris and Venice.

British Airways flights from Las Vegas depart at 20:20 hrs from McCarran International Airport, and land at London Heathrow at 14:05 the next day. The London-Las Vegas flight takes off from Heathrow at 15:30 and arrives in Las Vegas at 14:20 local time on the same day.
