Blythswood Square now a luxury hotel

The Town House Collection, Scotland’s finest luxury boutique hotel group has redeveloped one of Glasgow’s most historical and famous monuments The Royal Scottish Automobile Club and refurbished it and turned it into a suave new five star hotel. This boutique hotel, while retaining the old world charm, will also showcase some new-age designer styling.

Renamed The Blythswood Square,it is being touted as Scotland’s most environmental friendly hotel. To achieve reduced carbon emissions, renewable energy sources will be used. It will have 100 bedrooms and suites–one of which is an entire penthouse fitted with a rooftop tub. This hotel also boasts of housing Glasgow’s first luxury spa that will feature unique Scottish treatments. Also a restaurant, bars, a private screening room and event facilities will be available.

The indigenous Scottish treatments that will be offered at the spa include treatments with Scottish thistle extract and Scottish sea weed. The hotel is also equipped with a Seaweed bath chamber, a hydro therapy pool and a Dark pool. The Dark pool allows guests to float under a giant chandelier. The spa possesses latest treatments and facilities inclusive of relaxation rooms and treatment rooms, one of which contains a double suite.

For the first time since the 1970s, Harris Tweed will be used for furnishing the place. This will include curtains, cushions even restaurant menus.

The Rally Bar which is named after the Monte Carlo rally originally hosted many successful and famous racing drivers. This has been restored to all its former glory and will be available to guests.
